Mansfield Town Academy graduate Jakub Kruszynski recently graduated from Nottingham Trent University with a FdSc Sports and Exercise Science degree.
Discussing Jakub’s achievement, Academy manager Richard Cooper told the Club’s website: “As part of our commitment to enhancing the Academy’s education programme, we set a clear target: to ensure our players not only have opportunities in football but are also well-prepared for life beyond the game.
“This is a proud moment for our football club and lays a strong foundation for more of our professional players to follow in the future.”
Tom Chapman, Head of Education at the Club, added: “Jakub has made an outstanding achievement completing his foundation degree alongside being a professional footballer.
“This has taken a tremendous amount of commitment and dedication to complete a higher education qualification as well as performing at the highest possible level as a footballer.
“It also shows that working with academic institutions alongside football-based activities can happen and ensures that we are looking after players holistically as we prepare players both for playing football now and life after football.
“Having a qualification of this level not only opens doors for players after their career but enhances the skills now with lots of the academic qualification being based around elite performance.
“I’m thrilled for Jakub and his achievements, as well as looking forward to him progressing academically as well as for the other players that are also completing these qualifications.”
